Glad I bought this!
I originally bought this as a base layer to use for running during the winter but with the winter weather we are having this year I find myself using everytime I need to do something outside. It's warm and lightweight. Even though I usually wear a layer of cold gear underneath, I like that it provides warm without bulk. Even in -45 windchill I was warm with this as a baselayer under coveralls. I also love the thumb hole sleeves that keep my wrists warm.
As far a running, I usually wear this when running in temps under 30 degrees. With the running jacket that I wear, I get too warm if I wear this in temps above 30 degrees.

ColdGear Base 1/2 Zip
These are great whether you're skiing and us as a base layer in VERY cold weather, or as something under a light weight T-shirt on a chilly morning. Keeps body heat IN and wicks perspiration away. Have owned these for multiple years and seasons.

Warmth and function for motorcycle
My husband and I ride long distances on a Harley trike and this base 4.0 is fantastic. The material doesn’t stick to my dry skin like other nylon ones do. The thumb holes are great for keeping sleeve down when wearing gloves and keeps most of hands warm when not wearing gloves. Love the longer tail in back and the zip up neck is comfortable.

Great base layer
This has been great for snowboarding! Perfect for layering and washes well. The seams at the bottom of the zipper can be itchy against the skin at times.
